I think I've mentioned before, I don't always remember to update the front page of the website. I'm usually too busy getting the current release data, shooting photos of my new models, unpacking my collection in to it's new building (Tuff Shed 30x20), writing, etc.
And then last summer I was unpleasantly surprised by the fact that my parents might be growing old and die. My father fell early summer 2014 and was in a coma for nearly a week. He was still in the hospital when I left for Breyerfest. The doctors didn't expect him to live to see the fall. I'm pleased to say the doctors were wrong. He had his 83rd birthday last week. But my father is now partially paralyzed and in assisted living. I have added running his business to my list of things I'm doing right now.
What this means for the website is -- basically nothing. Okay, I'm behind on my updates because I'm spending additional time with my father (and it's a 90 minute drive each way). I have at least 50 models that haven't been photographed (and are still in boxes) here. I have close to 200 models photographed and coded, but not uploaded. Joomla doesn't just let me upload a quick html page. It requires Media Manager to make the pictures appear on each and every page. That can take a few minutes for each picture depending on my upload speed. But I will get to them.
What this means for the book is -- nothing. I'm updating the book (and the website) at the same time.
For those bought the 2014 book, you noticed that I've gone completely real horse color and given up Alabaster and Charcoal. For everyone else, this is your notice. Alabaster is now Grey White. Charcoal is now Black Silver.
Once again, I'm going over each and every mold, starting with the Traditional Adults, and updating them. I'm going to try to do them as quickly as possible, but Breyer could surprise me with a bunch of new molds and releases...
I may forget to write something for here before Breyerfest, so...
See everyone at Breyerfest! And come visit me at the CHIN.
