Broken Horn Swap Meet A Success!!

The first even swap meet held at Broken Horn was a success.  About 30 vendors showed up with thousands of models available for sale.  The weather was HOT and sunny.  (We're thinking May next year, not June).  It was great to see old friends for the first time since Jamboree shut its doors.  We MUST do this again.  Oh, say... December?

I'm working on it....

'Doh moment

Over the weekend at the Broken Horn Breyer Fun Day and Bella Sara Trading Day someone mentioned to me that I didn't have the 2010 New Breyers link up.  I thought  "I've worked really hard on that link for months now and it wasn't published? All those photos tracked down on the internet so I could post them since I haven't had a chance to photograph them.  Not showing up?"

Sure enough, I've been working on and saving the file, but forgot to press the publish button.  Doh!  (Okay, I could have published it and then accidentally pressed unpublish too -- it's a tiny button).

So here you go, the 2010 New Breyers are up!  And I hope to shoot photos on Friday!

On a personal note, I'm now on Facebook.  A word of warning before friending me -- I PLAY GAMES -- all of them!  Okay, just 18 games -- Farmville, Farm Town, Lil Farm Life, Island Life, Island Paradise, Tiki Farm, Country Life, Petville, Happy Pets, Mafia Wars, Sorority Life, Fishville, Happy Aquarium, Fish World, Cafe World, and a few more I can't remember.  If you can't stand that stuff and don't know how to hide those feeds, *chuckle* you have been warned.  Just friend Kristin Chernoff if you are brave enough.

Breyer on Facebook.  (Link on Breyer's website www.breyerhorses.com)  Last week Breyer posted Upcoming Events.  These events include BreyerWest (pretty palomino El Pastor) and QuarterFest in Tennessee (can't find model for that yet) and of course lots of photos of the models for Breyerfest were already up.  I am looking for someone to trade BreyerWest models for QuarterFest models.  Just email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .

Bella Sara on Facebook.  No link on their website, tsk tsk.  Occasional announcements about sales and upcoming events.  Lots of fan chatter.

Stone Horses on Facebook.  (Link on Stone's website www.stonehorses.com) Occasional announcements of sales and upcoming events.  Lots of fan chatter.

That's it for now.  Thanks for visiting (and reminding me of my to-do list)!

Kris

Changes going on here

I've been busy revising the website to give you more pictures.  Now when you click on a model, i.e. Family Arabian Stallion, you will no longer see just text -- just lots of photos with a little bit of text.  Many models have been done, the rest have the html written but I haven't had the time to post them yet.  Be patient, the university closes for two weeks this Christmas and I should have time then to finish each model.

I'm slowly adding the large size photos for every model or Bella Sara card so you can see more detail.  In some cases I'm still writing the code, in others I'm just looking for time to post them. It will eventually get done.  I promise.

Please, if you notice I'm missing a 2009 Breyer let me know.  I actually have photos for everything but occasionally something slips through the cracks and doesn't get updated.  I will eventually notice, but any help would be appreciated.

For Bella Sara -- I'm now working on French cards and have found several helpful people.  I'm still looking for scans for Italian foils and contacts for German language cards.

My goal for this website is to be informative and share this information with anyone in the hobby.  I'm only one person tho and need help in aquiring this information.  Any help would be appreciated.
